Results of the meeting of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine in Panel № 3 on August 06, 2024

Three members of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine participated in the meeting of Panel № 3: Andrii Pasichnyk, Roman Sabodash, Serhii Chumak.

  1. The High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine decided to postpone the meeting concerning the judge of the Holoprystanskyi Raion Court of Kherson Oblast Yuliia Havrylchenko until September 17, 2024. The reasons for non-attendance at the meeting shall be recognized as valid.

Member of the Commission Vitalii Gatseliuk joined the XII Summer School on Constitutional Law “The Rule of Law and Constitutionalism”

From July 29 to August 04, 2024, a member of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine Vitalii Gatseliuk took part in the XII Summer School on Constitutional Law “Rule of Law and Constitutionalism” in the village of Polyana in Zakarpattia.

The Commission recommended the appointment of a judge

On June 31, 2024, the plenary session of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine considered the issue of recommending Ihor Viter for appointment as a judge of the Volodymyr-Volynskyi City Court of Volyn Oblast.

A judge who has been appointed for a term of five years before the entry into force of the Law of Ukraine “On Amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine (regarding Judiciary)” shall be evaluated for congruence for the position in accordance with the procedure established by law.

Two judges were recognized as congruent for the position, and one was recognized as incongruent for the position

On July 30, 2024, the Panels of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, at its meetings, held interviews and determined the results of the qualification evaluation of three local court judges for their congruence for the position.

Based on the results of the qualification evaluation for compliance with the position, the Commission made the following decisions:
