
The High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine has completed the admission of candidates to undergo qualification assessment and participate in competitions for vacant positions of judges in the Specialised Circuit Administrative Court and the Specialised Administrative Court of Appeal. A total of 280 candidates will participate: 171 in the competition for the SCAC and 109 in the competition for the SACA. The number of unique candidates is 210, of whom 70 are applying for positions of judges in both specialised courts simultaneously.
Competition for the Specialised Circuit Administrative Court
171 persons have been admitted to the qualification assessment and participation in the competition for 17 vacant positions of judges of the SCAC. Among the candidates, there are 109 men (64%) and 62 women (36%). Most of the candidates are aged between 40 and
49 – 105 persons.
77 attorneys, 30 judges, 19 scientsts and 11 civil servants are applying for positions of judges of SCAC.
45 persons have a candidate of legal sciences degree, and 9 have a doctor of legal sciences degree.
Competition for the Specialised Administrative Court of Appeal
109 persons have been admitted to the qualification assessment and participation in the competition for 10 vacant positions of judges of the SACA. Most of them are men – 72 (66%), women – 37 (34%). As in the competition for the SACA, the largest age group is
40 – 49 years old – 75 candidates.
In terms of professional experience, judges predominate among the candidates for the SACA – 36 persons, attorneys – 29, scientists – 10, civil servants – 3 persons.
39 persons are candidates of legal sciences, 8 are doctors of legal sciences.
Please be reminded that the HQCJ received 356 applications for participation in competitions for specialised courts. The Commission admitted persons who, on the date of submission of documents, met the requirements established by Articles 69, 79-3, paragraphs 85 and 86 of Section XII of the Law of Ukraine “On the Judiciary and the Status of Judges”.
