Competition for the General Courts of Appeal: Two Candidates Failed to Confirm the Ability to Administer Justice

On July 29, 2026, at the plenary session of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, the issue of confirming the ability of two candidates for the position of a judge to administer justice in the general court of appeal was considered.

Based on the results of the session:

  • Serhii Kolodiazhnyi has failed to confirm his ability to administer justice at the Lviv Court of Appeal;
  • Yevheniia Palii has failed to confirm her ability to administer justice at the Dnipro Court of Appeal.

Please be reminded that 55 candidates submitted applications to participate in the competition for 28 vacant positions of judges at the Lviv Court of Appeal. In total, interviews were conducted with 53 candidates: 42 candidates confirmed their ability to administer justice in the general court of appeal, 11 failed to confirm it. Two candidates withdrew from the competition.

43 candidates submitted applications to participate in the competition for 23 vacant positions of judges at the Dnipro Court of Appeal. In total, interviews were conducted with 41 candidates for the Dnipro Court of Appeal: 26 candidates confirmed their ability to administer justice, 13 candidates failed to confirm it, and 2 candidates will be interviewed by the plenary session of the Commission. Two candidates withdrew from the competition.
