The Cassation Administrative Court within the Supreme Court confirmed the legitimacy of the powers of the members of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine

On April 25, 2019, the Cassation Administrative Court within the Supreme Court adopted the decision in the case 9901/66/19 under the claim of Mr. Tishko Dmytro Anatoliovych against the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine on recognition as unlawful and revoking of the decision, an obligation to take certain actions.

In particular, the plaintiff noted about the lack of authority of the members of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine Mr. Sergii Koziakov, Mr. Stanislav Shchotka, and Ms. Tetyana Veselska when making the decision contested in connection with the expiration of their term.

Based on the consideration results of this claim statement the panel of judges of the Cassation Administrative Court within the Supreme Court rejected to the plaintiff concerning the lack of authority of individual members of the Commission during the contested decision, as groundless.
